Day-21: A cappella

Sunday 5 August 2012

Today is very cloudy all morning but not a single drops of rain as far as I know in the city. So I had a lazy morning, the battle in my lazy brain to just stay at home and the other side which wanting me to go for a walk to East Perth, but since there is no sun then must probably a waste of time anyway, so my lazy part wins!

Then around lunch i met Chassty for a lunch before we go to see free concert at Subi Art Center. Since friday I was craving of bakso, a meatball soup with lots of chili paste and sweet soy sauce, just the perfect cold and wet day, so we got that in a small satay spot in the mall. Then we met up with Betty in front of teh train station before we rushingly, and in a barely timely matter, hop in to the train.

Subi ARt Center located in teh corner between Rokeby and Hammersley Road and these past few weeks has been quite familiar for me as I come back there quite often. They have a free concert every Sunday afternoon until October. So being free initially I didn't have any much expectation about it, but in fact it was done really well, the type of music is different every week and this one is a classical a cappella group called Giovanni Consort
The show lasted for 1.5 hours with intermission in between. When I was there also I caught an advertisement of teh coming shows which I would love to go. One a musical play about Lawyers, so i probably can tease Glyn about, the other one is a humor show about anger management.
Both looks interesting!
