Perth City To Surf Day!

I run 12 km and completed it in 1:08:51, not too bad! I actually enjoyed it after passing the first 6 km - eventhough today my legs and knees make sure that I paid for it!!!
Approximately 45,000 people participated in this yearly event. they also held similar events in other cities, namely Sydney (need to check if there are other big cities has this event too)
The weather couldn't be better for the 12 km run from city to City Beach!

Day-33: In and Out

Friday, 17 August 2012

Today I feel depleted, just still very tired from yesterday. So I decided to do nothing when Glyn has to work. We both woke up quite late, then headed to the same cafe for breakfast. I ordered scrambled egg, honey bacon with tomato and pesto relishes over toasted turkish bread.. and it's so yummmm - I almost able to finish all of them before my brain can forecfully stop my hand from picking another bite (and even so it was a bit too late as my stomach feel so uncomfortably full in the next few hours!)

Glyn had sauteed mushroom, egg benedict and gluten free bread. The mushroom is also very good.

This cafe although is slightly more expensive but they really serve good food.

That morning (actually almost afternoon) was beautiful, not cold at all. So after the brekkie we checked and booke dthe ticket for the cinema in the evening and then I walked back home.

Umm... actually not really straight home. I went to check the food store nearby. There are actually 2 food store and I found very delicisou strawberry in one of them (why didn't I buy another one?) and also some snack to satisfy my saltiness crave. This area is called Rosalie shops is very nice, a few place to eat or coffee-ing and some deli/food store, a pharmaciest, bottle shops and wine store, a small cinema room, even a nursery, all within less than 300m distance from one another.

At Glyn's place, the owner used to have a small aquarium with 1 fighter fish inside, but this time when I visit again, Glyn said the fish has died and now I saw a spider occupy the aquarium. this spider will never go too far away from the aquarium, it has long legs and only 5 instead of 6.

I spent the rest of the afternoon on the bed watching dvd.. and the view outside is sto pretty, but I just didn't ahve any energy to walk about

Day-32: Full Day in Brissie

Thursday 16 August 2012

Touched down in Brisbane, Glyn has waited for sometime in the airport. The nice thing about domestic airport here in Australia is it's like a bus station, so you can pick up right in front of the gate. The flight wasn't too bad, a bit less tiring than what I expected.

So we went to his place and drop off my bag.

Then went to a breakfast cafe called Flute in Rosalie Shops. Very nice breakfast - I ordered scrambled egg with avocado abd tomato, yummmm.. this place is a bit more expensive but very big portiona nd very good, with the combination of the flavour, relishes etc which are not usual.

After that we took the bus to the city and went to see his office, looking food with the new table and set up he has arrange.

I went to my company office and met 2 colleagues there and there I spent the whole day replying emails and went out to do some touristy thing (taking pictures and walking along and being stared by other people when i pointed my camera randomly).

It's very sunny in Brisbane, and much warmer that I expected!

Then we went dinner to some chinese seafood restaurant in the evening - and that was the end of my very long day!

Day-31: Looooong Day

Wednesday 15 August 2012

Hectic day today at the base, seemed like the day never ended. Went back home and decided to walk to Northbridge to satisfy the chinese junk food craving and took this snapshot of the dusk around the messy building site for Perth Arena

Day-30: Plan - changes (again)

Tuesday 14 August 2012

Tres Leches
Today Tom, my boss, brought to the office, a cake baked by his wife, it's a mexican recipe he said, the name of the cake is tres leches - 3 milk. Smelled very good, tastes good, but very heavy!!!

And oh, I almost had heart attack, when my client just move their plan drastically and calling out for the job early next week.

The move, the ongoing work, the pending work, the Brisbane plan, the decision, the visa, arrghhh it's so easy to again fall into the muddle of things and get another panick attack.

I just need to take a deep breath, be positive, and sort one by one

Day-29: New week

Monday 13 August 2012

The dvds that currently I can't stop watching - marathonly

The Shield
The TV series started in 2002 and lasted for 7 seasons, it tells us about a police department in Farmington LA with the main characters focusing to one "strike" team inside the department.

I guess my cup of tea for movies now cahnged drastically, from the like of sweet nice, light and funny movies or series and move to the grim and serious action series like The Wire (my training ground), The Sopranos and now this one.

My normal style of watching, I start with the series which has already finished (so I have the complete dvds with me), started with probably 1 episodes every nights, and then maybe break every now and then.. but second half, I will be addicted - 2-4 episodes and every nights.. all the way until last series of teh last season (which sometimes I also cried watching the last minutes of the show) and then feel that my life is purpose-less for few days after that.

Day-28: Rain rain rain

Sunday 12 August 2012

Rain the whole day, a perfect excuse for not doing anything.
I still feel horrible, even a trip to local market and looking at those amaxingly pretty flowers can't really help too much to ease my unsettling feeling.

Some pictures I took from the balcony, thick grey clouds hanging on the sky.

Some flowers from Subiaco weekend market, so pretty!

Day-27: Cooking class

Saturday 11 August 2012

Today is my cooking class. Glyn got me the voucher for my christmast present and only now I can get a chance to settle the class. I chose pastry and pies class, just because I know I won't be making it by myself, at least not in the near future.

Day-26: Let the week ends

Friday 10 August 2012

Ok, that's enough.. this week couldn't have been more rougher than it is now!

Day-25: worse and worse

Thursday 9 August 2012

but I know I won't be able to
